Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are undoubtedly dealing with a PR nightmare right now, as they navigate the rocky terrain that has been the aftermath of her cheating scandal with Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders. For Stewart, that bad dream was more or less self-inflicted as she was the guilty party (along with Sanders) in this case of infidelity; for Pattinson, he's merely an innocent bystander.
But is Stewart taking her guilt a step further and punishing herself by continuing to peruse all the not-so-nice phrases being flung around about her and her scandalous actions?
The rumors have been many and motley—and more or less conflicting. Some claim that this whole situation isn't so bad and has been blown out of proportion; others cry that both of the Twilight stars are severely shaken up. Now, a new report has said that the unfaithful actress has become nearly obsessed with reading all the hate mail and the negative posts, no doubt coming from many of her maybe ex-boyfriend's most dedicated fans.
She issued a public apology about her "momentary indiscretion" (she is said to have even penned it herself!), but it seems that Kristen Stewart's words may have done little to quell the rath of Robert Pattinson's followers—not to mention, she may have a lot of her own fans who are disappointed in the young starlet.
"She is a complete mess. She's torturing herself by constantly reading the nasty stuff being written about her," a source has revealed, as Perez Hilton reports. It's previously been claimed that Stewart is very depressed and not even showering. But according to this insider, her sadness, self-punishment and strong feelings of guilt may be even more pronounced, even leading to a lack of sleep and loss of appetite.
In her desperation, Stewart has apparently even said that "no one would care if she disappeared off the face of the earth." That may be a bit dramatic—even for Hollywood. Kristen Stewart is still very young and there's no doubt she's a talented actress. She might do well to stop reading anything related to the affair; after all, only she knows what really did or didn't happen.
