Madonna is known to do scandalous and raunchy things to get attention, but for once, the Material Girl didn't have to do anything for a scandal to emerge.
The pop singer has been supporting a Russian punk-pop band called P-ssy Riot, who have been jailed. However, an NBC affiliate in Florida wrote a rather scandalous headline by mistake when talking about the pop star and her efforts to support the band.
"Madonna Pays Tribute To P-ssy..." the headline all but screamed. Obviously there was more to it, but the NBC website only allowed a portion of the headline to appear on their main page. Sadly, it made things pretty awkward for readers who thought that Madge was paying tribute to women's genitalia.
It's not the first time a major media outlet has messed up and created a headline that shocked readers or viewers, but this headline seems to beat them all.
