Should a man hold a door for a woman? Men in Oklahoma hold the door for a lady of any age. Sometimes the men are dressed in oilfield dirt, but their kindness does not go unnoticed. Many men do this as a courtesy, and it is the way young men are raised in Oklahoma.
Some men have said they have been verbally attacked by liberal women who do not appreciate the gesture. What would you do if a young man held the door for you?

whether she likes it or not. ;)
"What would you do if a young man held the door for you?"
...hey hey hey now, you were do'n good there, why'd ya hafta jump to "young man"
...old farts can be gentlemen too. :)
...forget anything else you've been told.
So while these liberal women can't enjoy a simple gesture of respect and kindness, others feel ENTITLED to it. lol...I can just imagine her standing outside the door, can't you? xDDD
Her kids and husband knows they are genuinely needed :)
Perhaps the city women are more gracious when they are vacationing away from the city?
We lived in a small town in TX that was the same way. Children said please and thank you, yes m'am and yes sir. They opened doors for anyone older than they were. In big cities, you don't always find this.
I get aggravated when he opens the door for me then everyone else behind me. I have to stand there and wait for him and that just puts me back in the line though. :)
Although I do respect him for holding it open for others as well. :)
Real men are still real men! Yaaaaa for our men.

I do hope you have time to check out the other spotlighted posts as well. Have a wonderful day!
For those woman who holler at a young man for helping, sure they want to holler now. But let them get to the point where it is necessary for someone to have to help them on a daily bases. i bet their attitudes will change real quick.
I would say "Thank you." and would bless his mother. My dad, who is 87 and walks with a cane, still insists on opening doors for me and he manages to stand up when a woman enters the room. He removes his hat in church, restaurants and in the presence of the flag. Some parents have forgotten to teach their sons manners, but they need only look at men like my dad for a good example.
