New Dwight Howard trade rumors have just emerged, with the Denver Nuggets, Philadelphia 76ers, LA Lakers and Orlando Magic involved in the negotiations. It's a mega-deal, with several different superstars changing teams before the beginning of the 2012-13 NBA season.
According to Yahoo! Sports, the trade scenario would be a huge one, with Howard going to the Los Angeles Lakers as part of it. The Nuggets would acquire Andre Iguodala and Pau Gasol, the 76ers would acquire center Andrew Bynum, the Magic would acquire Arron Afflalo and the Nuggets would also get Al Harrington. Those are the biggest components of the deal.
In addition to Afflalo, the Magic would be getting a host of draft picks, but not all of those details have emerged at this point in time. What has emerged, though, is that there would be four star players changing teams, with the 76ers possibly emerging with the best part of this deal. A Philadelphia team that loses only Iguodala but gets back Bynum would be a pretty tough team to deal with in the Eastern Conference.
There is a lot that has to get done for this deal to make it through the NBA offices, but it certainly looks like most of the teams are really interested in making it happen. It would certainly shift the landscape in the NBA quite a bit, with the Nuggets possibly emerging as one of the favorites to go even deeper in the Western Conference Playoffs.
What do you think about these new Dwight Howard trade rumors? Would all of these teams really get involved in a deal like this? Are these NBA trade rumors almost too far-fetched?
