i know what you mean, as i do that , too....

years ago, i had a friend that was really bad at remembering jokes.....she would write them down, and then read them to us in a monotone....it was hilarious!

I can tell a funny (and true) story, but with jokes, the punchlines just pop out of my mouth right off....I don't know if writing them down would help but it's worth a try

I know you're right. And I am a little paranoid that I would write something & it would be misunderstood. but lots of comedians make fun of him

I can do public speaking as long as I have notes on what I want to say. I had to give part of the eulogy for my brother-in-law and I got sort of blindsided with the request....so I totally blew the end of it because I was crying, but I guess it's a good way to end an eulogy
