Another week almost over. wow! I'm hoping to get a new computer on Friday, but I don't know if that will happen or not. It will depend on the store having them available. Using Angela's is difficult.....
So, what are we celebrating....
1). Book Lovers Day: Now THIS is my kind of holiday. I love to read! This holiday can be celebrated so easily....just grab a book and settle down and read.
2). Veep Day: My first thought was this is a typo and should say 'Jeep.' The date for this holiday was chosen, because on this date in 1974, Vice President Gerald Ford became the President when Richard Nixon resigned. Veep Day celebrates the presidential succession provisions in the US constitution. Thank goodness they haven't needed to be used very often.
3). International Day of the World's Indigenous People: This holiday was first proclaimed by the General Assembly in December 1994, and the focus of this year’s International Day is "Indigenous Media, Empowering Indigenous Voices". A special event at UN Headquarters in New York on 9 August will feature speakers and videos of indigenous media organizations, with a live webcast. On Twitter, use #UNIndigenousDay for regular updates and for sending questions to panel members in the days leading up to and during the event. This information is from http://www.un.org/en/events/indigenousday/
Have a good Thursday! And remember, Friday is just around the corner....

How are you today?
What kinds of books do you read?
You know I don't read much though. . . .
:) Hope you have an amazingly wonderful weekend.
Victoria is at Tina's for the weekend but she is coming back home on Sunday to take care of Wiley while I have surgery.
