Good Morning
.....God is so delicate with His strokes
on the canvas
A picture I witnessed
in early morn
while looking out my kitchen window
there, under the pear tree
a doe with her fawn,
almost newly born
they stood on legs as thin
as the pencil lines
I place on the paper
when drawing a flower
or attempt at a face
but this morning scene
would ne'er be erased
for the beauty of motherhood
the beauty of care
God had placed
as a good morning
and a welcoming there
I moved back from the curtain
so as not to be seen
not to disturb
and watched in awe
at the delicate pair
and my heart fairly stopped
at the beauty 'twas there
the heart tends to speak
on its own, times like these
seems God is forever trying to please!
