The London Olympics 2012 basketball schedule resumes on Wednesday, August 8th, for the U.S. men's basketball team. It will be Team USA vs. Australia on live stream online or television, as the medals are now up for grabs in tournament play.
The Team USA basketball live stream and televised coverage begins late tonight at 10:15PM EST. It comes after the United States survived a scare against Lithuania, and then blew out an Argentinian team that was considered one of the best in this 2012 Olympics. However, Australia, who finished fourth in Group B, has some bad history, and an injury working against them.
According to ESPN.com, Australia is 0-13 all-time against the United States when it comes to FIBA competition. They'll be without NBA star Andrew Bogut, who is absent from the London Olympics due to an ankle injury he has to rehab. However, they do have Patty Mills, who scored 39 points against Great Britain, and hit a buzzer-beater 3-point shot to defeat Russia. Will he be enough to overcome a Team USA that has been at times tough, yet at other times, vulnerable?
