The NY Knicks might have lost point guard Jeremy Lin this summer, but the team has done a decent job of adding talent during the NBA free agent signing period, and the latest rumors have the front office still looking to add more veteran leadership for the upcoming basketball season.
ESPN reported that former Denver Nuggets big man Chris Anderson is willing to sign for the veteran minimum this summer, and that has the NY Knicks as one of the teams now showing interest in the 34-year-old.
Anderson is a high-energy guy that can spark a team with his tough defense and rebounding, and the Knicks could use some depth in the front-court. Last year with Denver, he averaged 5.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in just 15 minutes of action, but it's his toughness and hustle that can't be measured.
With the start of NBA training camps just a few weeks off, look for Anderson to sign with a team shortly, and the NY Knicks would make a wise choice in adding the veteran to help with making a run in the Eastern Conference this season.
