Star news tells us that MILEY CYRUS graced the cover of Marie Claire’s upcoming issue and talked about her engagement to LIAM HEMSWORTH—which she revealed was a “complete surprise.”

Despite Miley‘s affinity for revealing outfits and shocking hair transformations, she has definitely been working on looking more and more grown-up and womanly, especially since she got engaged to her longtime boyfriend and “Last Song” co-star, Liam Hemsworth, two months ago.
Miley looks stunning and beautiful in her cover profile for Marie Claire’s September issue where the 19-year-old performer talks about her considerably young engagement.
About her 3.5 carat diamond engagement ring by Neil Lane, Miley reveals:
"I had no input. We'd been kind of talking about getting engaged. I saw it online at one point and thought it was really pretty. I just love that it's old and has a story. And I'm happy because it doesn't look like anything else I wear."
As for why she agreed to marry 22-year-old Liam and at such an early age, she gushes:
"Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with."
She adds:
"I don't really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we've made to each other."

And the wait for the wedding and the “piece of paper” has also given way to a minor change in their living situation. Miley revealed that she and Liam are now living together in the Cyrus family home—a 8,000-square-foot land in the San Fernando Valley.
"It's really weird [sleeping] in my parents' room. Now it's my room, and Liam is at my dad's sink and I'm at my mom's. It's really strange, but also really cool."
She continues:
"The first time I ever met or hung out with Liam was here. When he first moved to America, he didn't have any family here, so our family became his. This is where all our memories are being made."
Good thing she and Liam are planning a long engagement because they are going to have to ease us into the idea of losing the young Hannah Montana forever…
