Danny Ainge has done a very good job this summer in keeping the Boston Celtics roster filled with talented players. The NBA off-season has helped several teams in their efforts to improve, but the Celtics are looking to overtake Miami, and adding more depth would only help their chances this season.
The latest rumor from Patrick Britton of Bleacher Report suggests the team looks into adding veteran shooting guard Carlos Delfino. The 29-year-old is currently playing in the Olympics for Argentina, and he has only helped his stock with a solid performance.
Delfino averaged 9 points and nearly four rebounds per game for Milwaukee last year, but the Bucks are not interested in bringing back the versatile guard, and a move to Boston would give the former first-round draft pick a shot at playing for a contender and would give the Celtics a player that can play in both the front and back-court.
With limited options remaining this NBA off-season, Delfino is one player that can actually help a team this year and give a squad an all-around player that has plenty of experience. Boston is still searching for depth, and adding the Olympian would only help their chances in the upcoming season.
