KRISTEN STEWART Banned From Attending ROBERT...

According to Hollywood celebrity gossip, KRISTEN STEWART is reportedly banned from attending ROBERT PATTINSON's upcoming "Cosmopolis" premiere in NYC.

Ouch.

Rob may have been hiding out at his good friend Reese Witherspoon's vacation house in Ojai ever since Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal broke out, but the actor will definitely not be bailing on any of his scheduled public appearances—and that includes the New York premiere of his movie "Cosmopolis" on August 13.

And to make the ordeal less painful for Rob, the "Cosmopolis" bosses reportedly decided to officially ban his cheating girlfriend Kristen—who previously attended the film's premiere at the Cannes Film Festival a few months ago—from making an appearance.

A source tells RadarOnline.com:

"[Kristen] will not be at the Cosmopolis New York premiere. Security was briefed and they were told that Kristen is not allowed anywhere near the red carpet or the after party."

The insider continues:

"The decision was made because Robert just doesn't want to see her. There were fears that she could use it as a chance to talk to him in person and that sort of drama is not wanted at the premiere."

That sounds like they expect Kristen to make some sort of scene at the premiere… are they nuts? The girl is already so awkward and uncomfortable whenever she's on the red carpet… we seriously doubt she'd attempt a reconciliation with Rob while the cameras are clicking away!

The source adds:

"There's also the fact that if she did attend, it would distract from the film premiere itself and the movie bosses are not interested in that sort of publicity. It's going to be Robert's first public appearance since the scandal broke – and they really want to make it less of a media circus than it already will be."
