I love looking out my kitchen window straight into the backyard where tall lush green trees provide a haven for all kinds of bird life, from the tinniest Pardalote and the Blue Wren to Rainbow Lorikeets, Crimson Rosellas and Eastern Rosellas, Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos and Sulphur Crested Cockatoos. I love the cacophony of sounds and the abundance of rainbow colors. Living only minutes away from the Pacific Ocean I also spot Pelicans frolicking in the sapphire blue sky.
But I always scan the grass for Sparkles, the white bunny with black spotted fur, eating away at the grass and dandelions to her heart’s content. Naturally she also has a healthy appetite for fresh pieces of apple, lettuce and carrot, and this morning she gobbled up some multi-grain bread. Sparkles doesn’t belong to us, but has adopted all the people in our street, some are visited more often than others.
Her original home is at the bottom of our street, but it seems she was not very enamored having to share her yard with a dog and a cat! She recognizes my voice and lets me pat her while she enjoys her treats. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I stroke her pristine fur, and life is GOOD!

She also had a "window looking" experience on another shortie, which gave me the idea for this one.
