Bobby Ryan is the hottest name in trade rumors in the NHL and the young winger is now linked in a deal to land in Buffalo, but with the lack of play-makers on the Sabres roster, is it a good move for the 25 year-old at this stage in his career?
Buffalo definitely needs some help on the offensive end of the ice, but making a deal for Ryan could hurt the team on defense and the front office must decide if this move will eventually work in favor of the Sabres or bring the franchise down a notch.
Ryan was the second player taken in the 2005 draft and has done little to disappoint in his young career. With 259 points in 332 games, including over 30 goals each of the last four years, he would bring the type of player the Sabres are looking for as the team looks to become a force in the Eastern Conference.
It's not often that a superstar becomes available and Ryan has reportedly said he would welcome a move to Buffalo. With the NHL training camps quickly approaching, look for the Sabres front office to decide rather quickly about a deal, but one thing is clear, fans of the team would welcome the young star with open arms.
