Louis Tomlinson Going Deaf

Poor Louis Tomlinson. The One Direction star recently revealed that he's going deaf in one ear. That's not just another 1D joke. Apparently, his hearing loss is the result of all the loud music and other loud noises at 1D concerts. Unfortunately, one of those loud noises happens to be the screaming of One Directions fans.

"I'm going slight deaf in my right ear," Louis explained in a recent interview. "It's tinnitus...something like that. All our fans are always very loud."

Hopefully, Tomlinson's hearing loss won't turn out to be permanent. Until his tinnitus condition is healed, he and band mates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Zayne Malik will be wearing "protective ear pieces" at every live concert performance. Hopefully, their fans will understand why they have to tune out the screams of love and adulation coming from the audience. It would be a shame if the Fab Five's health was put in jeopardy by the very thing they all love the most--performing live for their fans.
