The 2012 Summer Olympic games are under way, and it seems that just about everyone is watching at least one event of the games.
For many, the men and women's gymnastics events are among the favorite events from the summer Olympics to watch. There is just something about the sheer power and strength of these particular athletes that is absolutely captivating—even for those who might not normally show any interest in gymnastics, like One Direction's Niall Horan.
Today, Niall was among those watching the men's gymnastics. Here is what Niall had to say: "Just watching the gymnastics... This is what I love about the olympics... you watch loads of sports you would never watch usually.."
As can sometimes happen, there were some surprises in today's gymnastics events—particularly for Team USA men who failed to medal. Concentration, and lack of it, can truly make all the difference in any game, but especially one as important as the Olympics.
Niall Horan, though not a gymnast, will get the opportunity to perform at this years' games along with the rest of the One Direction guys—Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson—at the closing ceremonies.
