Phelps doesn't medal, for the first time since 2000. However, a new shining Olympian is gracing the pools in the London Olympics: Ryan Lochte. Instead of Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte is the new star of the much awaited swimming Olympic games.

Lochte won gold in the 400 IM while Phelps placed fourth. Ordinarly, fourth place would be awesome, but for an Olympian like Phelps, who seemed to crawl at times, it was a loss.

Maybe the years are catching up with Phelps, but the glory of this swim goes to the new American hero, Ryan Lochte!

It's his 4th Olympics...lots of pressure on him to win 2 medals and tie the most decorated of all time.

Yes -- Phelps should clean up his diet and see what Lochte is doing. But it's nice to see someone new as it seems the media coverage is more celebrity-driven and often focuses on the same old faces. Thanks for posting this!

That's what I thought. Phelps abused his blessed body. I am happy for Ryan Lochte.

it is sad how you all degrace a person,, I think he did his best,,yet someone did better,, that how sports run, it is not stardom or "bong time". It is just a sport. I proud of both the men who serve our country good in this sport.. we should appreicate that.
