Two new additions to the house.....

Smokey and Chippy the hamsters.  Smokey is my daughters and Chippy is my sons.   My daughter wanted one for her birthday.  Then of course I bring it home and my son wanted one so off I go again to get the other one.  My daughters is a girl and my sons is a boy but they have separate cages.  Of course the one I got for my daughter cost more. lol  They are Black Bear Hamster.

How adorable! We used to have tons of hamsters......they are incredibly fun pets, although we had one I called Vampire, because it would bite and draw blood....ughhhh! We've had so many, we've buried them in our back yard, which I've named "Hamster Heaven," for that part of the yard!!!!!!!! I'm sure the kids will really love them.....plus, you can buy all sorts of neat toys......balls that roll, motorcycles, etc.....we used to have like 6 or 7 different toys for ours!!!

Yeah I love them myself, first one for the kids. I have to get a few of the toys yet but they are loving them.

hampsters are neat little critters. my kids wanted all sorts of little rodents but never wanted to clean the cages or tae care of them.

as long as the hamsters are tame and come on the hand its no problem with the cleaning once a week. I had pet mice and one of them hated to be taken out of the cage so I had to get her using an empty tp or kleenex roll. These were the days, lol

I don't have problems getting them out, granted they both have since had babies to that makes things a bit harder.

yeah I only have one set of babies left and they will be gone on Monday. Taking them to the pet store. Bought the first set to the pet store a week ago.
