Good morning everyone. Starting with 2389. First thing the lump in my neck near my ear is gone. Every time I get one and it goes away I feel the bigger one to see if that has gone away too. Not yet but I still have hope.
They say we are in for some kind of superstorm today and to stay safe. Well if the internet goes down or the power goes off we won't know anything that is going on. No TV, no radio, no cell phones for this family. Most people get all upset with this sort of thing but
God will lead the storm in the path it is suppose to take. Why do I say this? Yesterday we had quite a bit to do and things were just taking way longer then they needed to not counting the two trips into each of two different stores to get two products we needed. It just didn't seem to be our day. Until that is I went in to the store to get some deals. They have boneless pork loin for .99 a lb this week with a coupon, and chicken quarters for .39 a lb. each limit of one per coupon per order.
Well while shopping I helped these ladies get theirs and went up to get mine all cut up the way we like it. The lady said how many kids do you have and I said 6. When my meat was done she asked me if I split my orders. I said sometimes but today I didn't have two set of coupons which was a bummer because we had really wanted to stock up on the pork loin. She handed me a extra set and boy did I beam from ear to ear while giving both of the ladies a great big hug, thanking them up and down.
I am always giving coupons out at the store and it was nice to get a few back for a change. I have gotten a few here and there but this was a great savings and sure helped us out. I gladly picked up another pork loin, and package of chicken putting them in my cart with a smile on my face, and a skip to my walk.
I put the other items in my cart that were on my list of specials I wanted to take advantage of and up to the cashiers. Our store has a lot of new people and there were not any I knew so I picked a young man, plus his line was the shortest. He did both of my orders with no problems, our store knows how to train people right.
Out to the van I went and put the meat in the cooler. When I got in I told Dennis all about our luck, including running into our landlord while exiting the store saving us a trip down town to pay him. We got talking and if we had not been delayed the way we were. I would have missed this lady and wouldn't have gotten in on a great deal. God know where he wants us.
When it is our time to go nothing on this Earth will stop it. Doesn't mean not to be prepared for things that may come just that if things go bad it might just have been a detour in the road that has to be fixed before you can cross it again. Nothing more, nothing less. With that said Marksville has candles, food, fellowship with each other, and God's hands on our lives. Have a good day everyone.

From the Columbia County Emergency Management Office: After discussions by Emergency Management Director Bill Black, Sheriff David Harrison, Jr, Public Safety Committee Chairman Roy Brown and Board of Supervisor Chairman Patrick Grattan, it was decided that a partial activation of the Columbia County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be enacted. A deputy emergency management director will be at the EOC until 10 p.m. Although the extent to which the storm system may affect Columbia County is unknown, the partial activation of the EOC will allow up to date monitoring and immediate full activation should a major incident occur.
Why are you filling bottles with water? Just to chill some? In case of a shortage? Just curious.
We could use the Rain without the high winds.
Maybe you could invest in something like that..I've seen for sale at the thrift stores too!
my grandson used to get these weird lumps on his neck......sort of below his ears....and they would com and go.......at first, they wanted to remove the lymph glands in his neck, so we went to have another opinion, and then another opinion, and so on.....and they finally found out that his lymph nodes were just infected, so they put him on one anitbiotic after another, until it went away.....to this day, if he has a cold or an earache or a sore throat, the lymph nodes will swell up, and he will have to go to the dr. for antibiotics.....
just thought i'd mention that, for what it is worth......we had to go to a bunch of doctors to find that out.....(everyone had a diferent theory about what it was, but no one knew for sure til the last guy)
====================================
hope you and yours are ok after all the storms.....
we had rain last night, but no severe weather......and it is cooler and less humid today....we were able to turn off the a/c and open the windows!.....sooo nice!
have a good weekend...
