Hello and welcome to Norma’s Café. This will be the last café posting until Monday July 30th. I will be busy with my high school class reunion and won’t be on the computer during my time off. We hit 105 yesterday and today it is only supposed to be 90. Wow. We had our big rain overnight, .03 inch, so it was barely noticeable. The wind was strong for a little while and I see small branches littering the yard. I guess I slept through all of “it”. I heard a little thunder before I went to sleep but that is all.
Today I will be getting things ready for the reunion. There are some of us in the class who do most of the work. Isn’t that always the way it is? I made replicas of our class floats for our 45th reunion and have taken good care of them so will use them again. They always manage to get a laugh, especially our freshman class float. We played Rockford for homecoming and our float theme was “Let’s Rock Ford”. One of the class members had an old Ford coupe which we got up onto a hayrack, and in front of it we placed a large rock about 2 ft. in diameter. It too a tractor and loader to get it up on the hayrack. Of course we had the usual chicken wire stuffed with napkins around the bottom edges and the high front of the rack. We thought is was really great, but now we all laugh about it.
I can feel a little of Norma’s pain this morning. In spite of a very good nights sleep, I am having a lot of leg pain from the fibro and hope it gets better through the day with so much to do. Norma, I hope this means you gave me some of your pain as I would gladly share it to spare you. We are all praying for you. We miss you here at the café.
I have the coffee made and also hot tea so come on in and sit a spell and I will pour you your favorite beverage (as long as it is non alcoholic). The fridge is filled with sodas, lemonade, ice tea, juice and ice water. The cold drinks have been the biggest Sellers? this summer with our heat. What are you going to be doing today? Do you have weekend plans? Tell us all about them. Don’t forget to leave Norma a message..
What would you like to drink?

Skylar's camp ends a week from tomorrow and then she will hang out for another week. i plan to take her to either Disney World or Universal City for the Harry Potter exhibit. Her mother will be flying down after that, spend a few days and then take her home.
I've had three cups of coffee so far this morning so I will pass, but if you have a bagel and cream cheese...
a big hi to norma and donald and tracy!!
we had a little rain again last night, but not the severe storms that they had forecasted.....and today it is a lot cooler and less humid, so we have the a/c off, and the windows open.....it is such a nice feeling to have fresh air in the house!!
