One of the latest celebrities rumored to star in 50 Shades of Grey movie is none other than Star Trek actor Chris Pine. The heartthrob has boldly gone where no one (at least in his generation) has gone before by playing Captain James T. Kirk. But is he ready to take on a BDSM-loving rich boy?
During his visit to the Tonight Show, Chris set the record straight with Jay Leno. The movie was first proposed to him as he was working the red carpet for an upcoming animated movie. Likely he was taken back to have such an erotic role proposed to him while he was promoting a G-rated film; however, he seemed intrigued and responded with a "yeah sure," regarding the possibility of starring. Also, he remarked that every woman in his life was reading the trilogy.
However, he confessed to the talk show host that he's simply "not doing it." Why Chris Pine's response has changed is a mystery. Did he decide that Christian Grey wasn't the right role for him? Or perhaps it was just the opposite and movie producers didn't think he had the character in him.
