Boston Tea Party to Disband

July 24, 2012. A second independent political party has closed its doors this year. First, it was Americans Elect. This time, itâ€™s the Boston Tea Party. The partyâ€™s national chairman cites a lack of interest, activity and motivation for his decision to step down as chair. With that resignation, and with nobody moving to fill the position, the remaining leaders do not have the number required to act on behalf of the membership, and thus officially disbands the BTP.

The problem with ANY third party is that the two main parties control the money, control elections, control debates, and people just don't have enough funds to support.

Sound principles and honest candidates have no chance in current corrupt representatives and administration.

The Boston Tea Party is/was a political party. Unlike the Tea Party organizations which are all strict Republicans, the BTP was an independent party open to all Americans who want a smaller government. In reality, they were more closely aligned with the Libertarian Party than the GOP. But they were quote-unquote Tea Partiers just the same.
