Yes, you read that right. I think the fates are finally working with us to give us the wedding we envision. Why are we tickled to be married by the great White ? Well, I will tell you. Meeting Bill was nothing short of fate itself. I had returned home from an evening carousing with friends, and returned home about half lit. I fired up the PC, and started perusing the Yahoo personals listings, something I had never done before. I had only had a home computer for about 2 months, and was new to online everything, naive, if you will.

I came across a photo of a man in a tie dyed tee shirt with a blurb which read "Will you be my Galadrial?" Being a fan of "Lord of the Rings" since my long past teenage years, I was intrigued. I responded, albeit rather drunkenly,, that yes, I was his Galadrial, if he was my Stryder. It took about three weeks, before he responded, but he did respond. He later told me that he kept returning to my note, and thoguht it was well written, intelligent and funny, something you don't find often on a dating websight.
We emailed for a couple months, then graduated to phone calls. It was about 4 months before he actually asked me out. I was really nervous, because he insisted on picking me up at home, something I had never done before, as I had a teenage daughter . But there was just something about this guy that made me comfortable.
When he showed up at my door, resplendent in a jean jacket, fedora, and the most incredible smile, (think Indiana Jones meets Jerry Garcia) I knew he was "the one." My precious, if you will. My first face-to-face words to him were "Oh, you'll do." We laugh about that to this day. Before the night was over, we both knew we had stumbled onto something special.
Fast forward 10 years, and we finally decided to make it legal. I was telling a co-worker that we were getting married, and we wanted an unconventional ceremony, anf she mentioned that she had a friend who was licenced to officiate weddings, mostly pagan weddings, but he was flexible. His name was Gandalf. I knew I had to get this man to marry us.
Today, he emailed me that he had made arrangements to get to the venue,, so he could do the ceremony. I'm so happy I could just grin like a fool all day.
Looks like the hitching is going to come off without a hitch.

StryderBill (a nickname I don't use anymore) found his LostQueen (the nickname Donna was using when we met) and will be married by Gandalf.
