Tamara's Blackberries Romanoff

1/2 c Blackberry liqueur
2 tb Cognac
1 ea Lemon juice of
2 tb Dark brown sugar
2 qt Fresh blackberries rinsed
3 pt French vanilla ice cream
1 c Whipping cream whipped
Mint sprigs for garnish
Combine liqueur, cognac, lemon juice & 2 tb of dark brown sugar.
Reserve 8 whole blackberries for garnish.
Halve remaining blackberries.
Marinate blackberry halves in liqueur mixture for about 30-45 mins.
Soften 2 pints of vanilla ice cream then carefully fold it into whipped cream.
Carefully fold in marinated blackberries.
Reserve marinating liquid.
Put a small scoop of the remaining vanilla ice cream into bottom of 8 large glasses.
Fill these glasses with blackberry-ice cream-whipped cream mixture.
Garnish with reserved whole berries then drizzle marinating liquid over top.
Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar then serve immediately.
