Watch am31 asteroid zoom past Earth tonight. I found a link where you can watch live as this asteroid makes a pass by our planet.

According to SpaceRef, "The asteroid is estimated to be 620 m to 1.4 km (2,000 to 4,500 ft wide) and will pass within 14 times the Moon's distance from our planet."

This is a scary situation and some websites are carrying it live, so you watch our close call to Earth. It's a big rock in space, and am31 is the latest asteroid to buzz by our planet. It is just a matter of time folks!

Um, I wouldn't call this a 'close one'. The moon is 265,000 miles away from the earth. 14 times that is about 3.5 million miles away.... while that's closer than Venus (about 28 million miles from Earth), it's not exactly knocking on our doorstep either.
