Hello everyone--so has anyone decided to go out and buy or borrow the first of the Fifty Shades Trilogy books? I only have one chapter left.
So I thought I would tell all, well not all, I will not want to ruin it for anyone who wants to read it for themselves....but all the basics that I really did not cover that may make someones mind of if they want to run out and try to get the book. But if you plan to add your name to the waiting list for the book, I heard of one library with over 13,000 names waiting for it, and some libraries are not taking anymore names for the waiting list until further notice, so, you can check but I bet you don't find it at the library, at least according to some media online.
I just want to summarize it all for the first book....Ana is a very innocent girl who gets talked into taking her best friend's place interviewing a very rich CEO guy, Christian. Ana is so nervous she even falls into his office, literally, before even getting started. There is an instant attraction. Neither one of the two realize what they are getting themselves into as they find ways to see the other through the first five chapters until they decide to give it a try, but not without a contract. Christian always has a contract in a realtionship, which by the way, he is into dominate/submissive type relationships, and Ana, well she probably never even heard of it because to much of Christian's surprise she is a virgin.
Throughout the whole book, and I am sure all that follows as well, Ana (Anestasia) talks in her head to her inner concensous and inner goddess. Sometimes agreeing with them, sometimes not, and sometimes even when she agrees she will do just the opposite they tell her. So with the help of the two in her head, Ana tells this story and she does it very well.
Although some call this "mommy porn" I think it is far from porn, far from. But the author, EL James, she tells it in such a way that you can picture it in your mind. She talks about steaming meetings between the two, both of whom find themselves giving into many "firsts" with each other.
Like I said, I am at the last chapter of the Fifty Shades of Grey and this is when it is reality that the contract was never signed....hmmm, another first for Christian Grey. This man is rich, and maybe a tad bit cold, but when it comes to Miss Ana Steele, there is nothing cold about him. He shows her gentleness, and teaches her what sex, making love, and anything and everything inbetween is all about.
When Ana talks about the kinky sex, the seductive love making and "red room of pain", it makes you want to know what is on the pages. It is kinky, but not in a smutty way, it is enjoyed by the shy and the not so shy.
So go read it, let me know what you think. I found out even my husband sneaked at a few pages, he was not going to tell me but....last night I was giving him a hard time (you see, he is one of the shy), I asked him if he wanted me to read some of my book to him outloud (he would blush all the way through it, lol), but he said no you can't, Marissa is in the room and I read the next two to three pages, you can't read that with her in the room.
