Doesn't it just figure. The folks of "don't ever let a crisis go to waste" are coming out with all kinds of ideas about why the lone gunman shot people at a movie theater.
They claimed he was a TEA party member, but if they'd done research before flapping their gums, they would have realized that TEA party member with that name is twice the gunman's age.
They blamed Rush Limbaugh because he bashed the movie on his show.
And, of course they want to use this as an opportunity to take away the guns of law abiding citizens.

Let The Shameless And Obscene Exploitation Begin
Â
The horrific tragedy of the Aurora Town Center movie theater massacre will impact hundreds, if not thousands of people for the rest of their lives. A secondary tragedy – although unmentionable in the context of this despicable event – will be the shameless and obscene exploitation of the shooting by those who seek political gain from its occurrence.
Â
As Rahm Emanuel infamously said, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.â€
Â
We saw it in the immediate aftermath of the Gabby Giffords shooting as liberal commentators almost instantly branded Jared Lee Loughner a “right-wing†zealot. (Ironically, classmates of Loughner later called him a “left-wing pothead.â€) Was this instant label attached to Loughner because a Democratic Congresswoman was shot? Of course not. Was it because the tragedy in Tucson was seen as an obscene opportunity to gain political ground by everyone from the gun control crowd to Sarah Palin haters? Of course it was.
Â
I remember listening to Barack Obama’s masterful Tucson speech and hoping he really meant it – wondering if his words would have an impact on those who choose vicious personal attacks and naked exploitation over civil discourse. Immediately following Obama’s speech, I wrote a post entitled I was Proud of my President Tonight, in which I not only praised the president for his compassion and the insight of his words, but also questioned whether we could truly choose a better, more dignified and respectful way to disagree with one another. I also wrote:
Â
“The skeptic in me questions whether this can truly happen. The optimist in me hopes so.â€
Â
Unfortunately, Obama’s words ended up being just that - words. Within a week, he appeared on a Latino radio station and admonished Hispanics to work to defeat their “enemies.†Shortly thereafter, he stood at the Mexican border and ridiculed Republicans for wanting nothing less than “moats full of alligators†on that border. Many of the vile comments made by angry liberals about Sarah Palin – including death threats – were too graphic to include in this post.
Â
Sadly, Barack Obama’s words quickly rang hollow. I fear we’re about to go through the whole disgusting nightmare all over again.
Â
The optimist in me wants to believe that this time, things will be different. The pessimist in me knows they will not.
Â
Â
Limbaugh, Tea Party, & Guns Already Getting Blamed for Colo. Theater Shooting
Â
Check it out at the link above. ABC's Brian Ross, NYC Mayor Bloomberg, CNN's Piers Morgan, people on Twitter, Hollywood celebs, they're all weighing in on this and pushing the leftist agenda of stricter gun control and blaming right-wing groups.
Â
Obama will probably try to use this to his advantage, since his absurd idea that small business people need the government to succeed caused another drop in his popularity.
Â
This is a tragedy. The last report I saw said that there were 14 killed and 50 injured. We should all be praying for the families of those killed and hurt at the movie theater, and the entire community as well.
Â
This tragedy should not be used as a political tool.

Do you know that yesterday before all this happened some movie reviewer got death threats for giving a negative opinion of the movie? People hadn't even seen the movie yet, but they were willing to issue death threats against a movie reviewer who didn't like it.
The world has gone mad.
Horrific event.
Funny this is the only post I see where someone is jumping to blame..Marilyn must feel the Teathugs and Rush resemble this tragedy.
It tells you of a lot of people that did jump to blame other people.
You should be very mad about what they did.
You know - tolerance .... wait till the facts are in .............. Do not jump to conclusions . all that?
And the guy that was wrongly named, had to have his phone cut off, and leave his home because of it - no empathy or sympathy for him?
If not, all I can say is - pitiful, and pathetic.
Turns out, by the way, that the guy was probably an occupier. There's supposedly even a picture of him being arrested with Occupy San Diego. But I wasn't going to bring that up. My outrage is at any news people pointing fingers and naming names without proof, trying to get the scoop and ruining lives in the process. Why doesn't that bother you, Lori? You think that's acceptable behavior? I don't.
Again the only people I see politicizing this is Marilyn and You Jesse...look at your own article.
I am sure the 2 of you and your self serving interests and ignorance of reality make Jesus proud.
Then it dawned on me - my opinions were all in a vacuum.
By never voicing my thoughts, or hearing others, how could I possibly even make a decision on who to vote for?
You cannot trust the media, as they only give you the information they want to give you.
You need to hear how others see it, and contemplate it.
The old saying to "never discuss politics or religion", is actually promoted by those that want us un-informed, so we are forced to believe whatever they tell us.
Aren't people who say they won't discuss religion going against what God's Word asks of us? That we all be ready to explain our faith and to share our faith....whether or nor we have the gift of evangalism or not?
And to keep your opinions to yourself, I think, also robs others of the value of each one's opinion, each one's experience. We learn by speaking to others and by asking questions, by discussing.
I'm certain that God doesn't want us going to the polls uninformed. Suee we can pray for God's guidance. But I'm ceetain He's often sitting in heaven thinking, "If only you fellowshiped with other Christians. If only you had read the Bible. If only you had discussed how the candidates stack up against My Word, you'd be more prepared to vote."
