It's going to be a long weekend....I just see it now. I have so much to do, but my people are getting in the way. I have just over 2 weeks until the consignment sale, and I have to get stuff in the computer and tagged. I did manage to send off 5 boxes yesterday...one one to Connie.
Speaking of Connie, her power is finally back on....but not her internet. She has no idea when she'll get that back.
So, what are we celebrating....
1). Bastille Day: Bastille Day symbolizes the end of the constitutional monarchy, and the beginning of the democratic republic of France. To Frenchmen, Bastille Day is viewed as their liberation. In the late 1700s, France was ruled by a king. On July 14, 1789, there was an uprising against the constitutional monarchy, and the people stormed Bastille. Bastille was actually a prison, and it was a symbol of the monarchy. The goal was to create reconciliation for all of France, promote unity, and purse liberty from the monarchy.
2). National Nude Day: This holiday is a way to keep cool on a hot , sticky summer day. So, take it off......take it all off. But I don't want to know about it, if you decide to celebrate this one.
3). Pandemonium Day: This holiday is a day of sheer bedlam, and utter chaos. If ever there was a wild and whacky, unorganized day, today is that day. Hmm...that sounds like my every day, LOL.
4). Bald In-Bald Out Day: OK, so all of the sites I use to come up with bizarre holidays listed this one, but none of them indicated what it might be. A quick search also turned up nothing. So I’ll just leave it to you to make your own reason for this to be a holiday, dependent entirely on your creativity. Just don't shave your head....or go a head, if you want. This holiday is always celebrated the second Saturday of July.
Have a good Saturday! And check back tomorrow, as some of the holidays are good ones.
