Stars from the world of sports got together for the 2012 ESPY Awards. On July 11, tennis player Maria Sharapova and skier Lindsey Vonn were some of the evening's many guests at the Nokia Theatre event. Both are also up for Best Female Athlete.
Maria Sharapova channeled a warrior princess on the red carpet. The Fashion Court spotted the statuesque athlete in a J. Mendel gown. The blue gown was full of drama, with its draped details, fringed shoulders, and revealing cut-outs. If only Maria fully owned her daring gown and really worked that red carpet. A silver cuff, heels, and a loose updo completed her ESPY Awards outfit.

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn wore white at the awards. Just Jared noted Lindsey's banded bodice Marciano dress. Her gown's bodice, which should have fitted her better, gave way to a long, flowing skirt. Sadly, Lindsey's Atelier Swarovski necklace and her gown's neckline, did not complement each other.
