A 33-year veteran LAPD motorcycle officer says Justin Bieber had a total and willful disregard for people on the roadway when he sped at speeds in excess of 80 mph down the 101 Freeway in California this week, ABC News reported.
Dennis Zine, the former law enforcement officer and current LA City Councilman also said the "Believe" singer should be arrested for putting people's life at risk on the roads that way.
And that may be true, since he doesn't have to drive at all given his wealth and access to limos, no matter how much he wants to rev that sports engine.
The "Boyfriend" singer says it is the other way around; that paparazzi are the ones who are endangering him and others and they should be the ones arrested.
There's truth in that statement too.
A 911 operator who fielded both a call from Zine—who reported the reckless driving of Beiber—and Justin, who reported being followed a second time by the paparazzi after getting pulled over and ticketed, might agree with the city councilman however.
In fact, the 911 operator probably would, since Bieber didn't even identify himself to her honestly when he called in, saying his name was Justin Johnson.
That doesn't sound like someone in fear for their life.
While no celebrity should feel that they are above the law, it is wrong of the paparazzi to hound a celebrity to death, too, as happened with Princess Diana.
And that's why the same man who called in the reckless freeway driving report about Justin is also the same city councilman who upped the consequences for celebrity photographers who stalk their prey: Dennis Zine.
If the Fisker Karma sports car-driving celebrity had played it as smart as he does on the stage--and dialed 911 instead of increasing his speed--this could have all been avoided.
If Selena Gomez's boyfriend had reported the stalkers, and lured them along the roadway more slowly—so cops could have gotten to the scene to witness their behavior—he might have had the last laugh, with his road hounds facing a year in prison and a $5,000 fine.
But Usher's friend didn't play it smart or safe. And Dennis Zine says that now it's a tragedy waiting to happen whenever the crooner gets behind the wheel of any car.
As it is, Justin Bieber was ticketed instead by police, and he got a symbolic black eye in the public for driving so dangerously, as he weaved in and out of traffic without using a turn signal (and at speeds between 80 and 100 mph). That makes him look like the dangerous driver. And he doesn't want that image to linger and more than for someone to get killed due to his dangerous driving.

Instead of speeding away and getting a ticket, JUSTIN should just STOP completely in middle lane of freeway – if Paparazzi stay behind him, other cars will smash into the Paparazzi and hopefully kill them - Justin will have done nothing wrong!
Does anyone know why Zine is now a "FORMER" police officer? sacked for incompetance? He's surely bias against Justin - he only wants to arrest Justin but not the Paparazzi who stalk him, harrass him and followed him! If Justin was speeding, then how come the Paps who overtook him were not speeding ???? !!!! ????
