(Back from vacation)
100 words
"It was a dark and stormy night," on Hollywood Boulevard. The storm so violent sheets of lightning had stripes. I tried to flag a cab, but they didn’t stop. I had to walk to the murder.
The body was sprawled out across the Hollywood stars, blood swirling in the puddles like mud in a country stream.
I longed for the days as a L. A. cop in a squad car, but I wanted my independence and became a P.I.
It could be worse, I thought. Then I heard the screeching tires and the rattle of a Tommy-gun. It got worse, fast…
