E.L.James is a lady author of the Fifty Shades Trilogy. This three book set has Book I Fifty Shades of Grey, Book II Fifty Shades Darker, and finally, Book III Fifty Shades Freed.
I myself am not much of a reader, ok, other than school assignments and magazines, you can count on one hand how many books I have read from front to back (and I am sure I still skipped a spot of two).
The autor of these books makes $1.3 million on them each WEEK. That is some bucks!! I have heard so much about them, mostly good reviews, no one is spoiling anything about any of the books, they just said they could not put them down, from one chapter to the other, they had to know what was going to happen next. Well, I wanted to see what was so great about them, my husband even came home and was talking about them. He said the radio station he listens to in the truck was talking about these books, and how there is going to be a fourth and everyone cannot wait for it to come out. There is also going to be a movie based on these very popular books. The things that were being said on the radio from callers really got my husband wondering what they were about too.
Yes, I ordered them, they came yesturday. I don't know who was wondering more, me or Aaron, lol. I read the first five chapters. My mom or my daughter would say that it was interesting right from the start, they love to read, Mom especially likes this kind of story, intrige, romance, some may say suspenseful. She loves those and Westerns and Western Romance. Me, I think it was slow at getting interesting, now, just at the end of the fifth chapter it is really getting interesting. There were some other spots that I thought it was going to be interesting, but now I know this is where I may be getting really interested in this book. There has been a lot of teasing back and forth between the two main characters, Ana and Christian. The way they met is even different, not the usual casual encounter, boy runs into girl and knocks her down then picks her up and it was love at first sight. I have to say, the author does have an interesting way of getting them together.
To even get ME to READ a BOOK....that is something, lol. But to have it interesting enough to keep me wondering enough to stick to reading it, if you like reading, you would not have a problem keeping interested in it.
I researched the book before I received it, I had to know what others thought. Most reviews I came to was a plus and nothing less than great. There was a man who gave a review, and he gave a poor review, very poor, but what I got out of his words and remarks, I think somehow he was offended by the book, the author or the characters in it. Another man had a review I read and he said it was real written but he was not into that kind of story, he just read it for the same reason I am, curiosity.
If anyone else reads these books please share your opinions as well. I would like to know what others think. I am now going to read a chapter or two, or three tonight and see how interesting it gets. I will keep in touch with the updates.
Thanks for reading my review, so far.
