Special Lady

She’s a special lady

I’m sure you will all agree

Such a kind and gentle soul

But also can be gutsy

 

She has had her share

Of happy and also some sad

But met it all with quiet grace

And all the faith she had

 

A great lady, a great writer

We have never met but I can tell

If there was a ball on Gather

She would be the belle

 

She never has an unkind word

And encourages one and all

With writing so sublime

It always does enthrall

 

Now she has a battle

One she’s won before

I have no doubt she can

Close and lock this door

 

My heart will be with her

As she again walks this road

Let’s all send her prayers

To help to carry the load

 

I’m sure some may have guessed

Or maybe at least have a clue

I have such wonderful friends here at Gather whom I have missed interacting with, not feeling so hot, but am determined to correct that, and remember who you are, pretty special yourself, I love you, Elsie
