Things just got a bit uglier.
Tom Cruise is apparently having trouble getting in contact with daughter Suri, thanks to Katie Holmes. TMZ is reporting that according to their sources, Tom’s people are in battle against Katie’s people on when and how Tom can talk to his 5-year-old with the former “Dawson’s Creek” starlet.
Although Tom, at the very least gets to talk to Suri at least once a day, there is one topic he hasn’t touched on with her: his impending divorce from her mother. As for when the two will see each other again, that’s a little bit tricky.

As for when Tom will attempt to see Suri … sources say it’s not going to happen for awhile. We’re told Tom was in L.A. for the 4th but he’s leaving before the weekend to shoot his new movie in the Rockies.

TMZ’s sources also say that things between TomKat are “very bitter”: he feels betrayed by Katie and feels that she’s using little Suri as a “weapon”. Let’s hope that’s not something she’s pulling.
In related news, an upcoming interview with Elle magazine may have shed some light on what was to come from Katie’s own mouth. In the article, Katie speaks on a “new phase” she was entering:
“I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin. I feel sexier. I think in my 20s, it’s like you’re trying too hard to figure everything out. I’m starting to come into my own. It’s like a new phase.”
During the interview, which took place six weeks ago, there was no mention of Tom whatsoever and the lovey-dovey nature of the two was nowhere to be seen. An insider at the New York Post who was present for the Elle interview said, “She deflected the Tom questions and brought them around to herself.”
