Manchester United on the brink to signing the new Cristiano Ronaldo

The latest front page Transfer Rumours And Gossip suggest that Manchester United are close to signing the new Cristiano Ronaldo, namely James Rodriguez. Sir Alex Ferguson has been a keen admirer of the young Colombian for some time now, and is determined to bring the young flyer to Old Trafford, before any other big name clubs beat him to the players signature.







However, Sir Alex will face a heavy challange to bring the player to Old Trafford. Porto have supposedly already turned down a £30 million bid for the player. Rodriguez has a £40 million release clause in his current 5 year deal that he signed a year ago. Sir Alex will need to dust off the wallet and dig deep, if he is to get his man.



Porto appear to be in the correct position to make a large amount of money this summer, if they sell both Rodriguez and sought after forward Hulk. We may see both players playing in The Premier League, come August if everything goes to plan.



It has been suggested that Nani wants away from Old Trafford. If this were to happen, then Manchester United are going to need to find replacements fast. Why Nani is looking away is not completely clear.



But Manchester United being Manchester United, chances are they may replace with a more talented player, as we have all come used too. Will it all be enough to dethrown rivals Manchester City though?
