Selena Gomez was without her main man, Justin Bieber, by her side when she recently celebrated fellow former Disney darling Ashley Tisdale's 27th birthday at a Malibu beach. But, despite her missing "Boyfriend" singer, the starlet still seemed to be having a good time--perhaps too much so?! The "Love You Like a Love Song" songstress, who has recently parlayed her star power into making movies such as Spring Breakers, was photographed frolicking in the sand with a male companion. And things looked pretty fun and just a bit flirtatious, too.
But looks can be deceiving! This was certainly the case with Gomez and those other guys.
However, there was no denying the obvious romantic chemistry between the guests who included Vanessa Hudgens and her beau, Austin Butler, as well as the big b-day girl and her guy, Scott Speer--especially with their adorable shore-side PDA.
As for Selena Gomez, she was probably just missing Justin Bieber, especially amid the couples at the party--and she maybe even was having a bit of déjà vu. She just recently wrapped filming Spring Breakers at a beach in Florida with Hudgens, and the bikinis, Daisy Dukes and party antics at Tisdale's low-key celebration may have reminded both stars of the movie set.
In Bieber's absence, though, Gomez was entertained by some male companions, one of whom even swept her off her feet--literally. He picked her up playfully on the beach, perhaps pretending as if he was going to carry her into the ocean. As Sugarscape humorously calls it, the guy mistook "Selena for a nice wind-cheating scarf."
Well, that "scarf" obviously belongs to Justin Bieber. And while some of the photos do seem a bit flirty, there was surely nothing to them. Bieber has no reason to be jealous--except for missing out on some fun and romantic time with his favorite girl, and some birthday cake, too.
