It seems that both Katy Perry and Russell Brand agree that their marriage was not a mistake. Neither the pop star or her comedian ex appear to have any regrets about the time they spent married to one another.
Katy Perry says that her marriage to and divorce from Russell Brand taught her lessons of value, lessons she couldn't have learned otherwise: "There's nothing I regret because you can't buy a lesson and they are so valuable. I apply them to my life and I learn from them."
Russell Brand also insists that his marriage to Katy was not a failure.
Russell said, "Well it did work out in a way because you are married for some time, and that's really good, and then you're not married, and that's really good. You just have to have acceptance of things. She is a person that I love, but now this is a new time."
What a relief it is to hear that the divorce between Katy Perry and Russell Brand is not a bitter one, as many can be. The two celebrities actually seem to be handling their separation from one another with incredible maturity. They remember the good that brought them together and can acknowledge their friendship, but at the same time they both realize they needed something different in their lives, and that something different was not something that either could offer the other.
