Gay rumors have circulated around Tom Cruise for decades. They calm down a bit each time the actor marries. With the news of Tom's impending divorce from actress Katie Holmes, the rumors are in full swing again.
There was a blog posted recently that even listed "5 Signs Tom Cruise Is Gay." One interesting reason was that many celebrities join the church of Scientology for their homo cures or the church has dirt on the celebrity and forces them to join. Let's see...Travolta and Cruise are both high-profile Scientologists and both have gay rumors swirling around them.
Another sign that Tom may be gay is the reported lack of sex that ended his first marriage. Unless he's impotent, he probably should have had sex with his wife. Unless, of course, he was having sex with dudes.
The blog author, Dennis Romero, contends that he thinks Cruise is not gay and he's just being facetious. But, doesn't it make you wonder? Just a bit?
Cruise has sued and won against a British tabloid that claimed his marriage to Nicole Kidman was a fake to cover his gayness. He also sued and won against a gay porn star who claimed to have had an affair with Cruise. And again, he sued the publisher of Bold Magazine for saying he had a video of Cruise being gay. It's not that often that a celebrity takes the time and resources to sue tabloids.
In this author's opinion, Cruise is one of the best actors of this century. He lights up the screen. He was born to be on the big screen, no doubt about it. Nobody can embody a character like Tom Cruise. However, Scientology has turned Tom's brain to mush. Whatever intelligent thoughts he has are replaced with "Scientology-speak" making him sound insane. The entire church is a bit creepy.
David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board of the church of Scientology, was Tom's best man during his wedding to Katie. Miscavige also has a wife that's been missing since 2006. He's also a firearms expert. Hmmm...none of that sounds good, does it?
The good news is Katie is getting away from Scientology and taking Suri with her. Somebody should shut that cult down.
If Tom is gay, maybe he'll come out after the Supreme Court rules that gay marriage should be legal in all states.

honestly, i dont know,
all marriages have problems,
dont know why they are spliting up
i really felt he loved her. and her him. so i wish them the best.
and hope they both will find true happienss one day
At least he didn't just make her disappear like his mentor did his wife.
Hmmm, how many Oscars has he won??? Nominations don't count~they're sometimes given out of sympathy or popular demand. And, I agree with Pop's 1st comment, "probably both"~I've always pegged him as in the closet!
I can't think of another actor that's better. Especially not any of these young ones coming up...the Twilight cast for example, all pretty lame.
I, personally, don't think he's gay.
I do think Scientology is a cult and I don't know how in the world they are able to call themselves a "church".
I agree with you that the others you named are all pretty good -- minus Depp. But, each to their own. ;)

Katie must know some stuff that could really hurt Tom. Very interesting.
Here is the lawsuit he lost against the ex wife:
Cruise Slapped with Lawyer Fees By Mark Armstrong
Tom Cruise has encountered a minor setback in his crusade against a gay porn star's alleged tabloid-tattling.
A Los Angeles judge on Wednesday ordered Cruise to pay $27,900 in legal fees to Kristina Ann Kirstin, a woman named in the star's $100 million defamation lawsuit against "erotic wrestler" Chad Slater.
Kirstin is the ex-wife of Slater (aka Kyle Bradford), who was sued by Cruise in May for allegedly spreading a false tale that he had an affair with the movie star. The lawsuit was one of several attempts by Cruise to squash once and for all the rumors about his sexual orientation--his lawyer even said the star was prepared to "prove in court" that he's not gay.
Slater, for his part, denied the rumor-mongering charges. But that didn't satisfy Cruise, who in July expanded his lawsuit to include Slater's ex-wife. Cruise claims Kirstin sold her story to the National Enquirer saying her husband left her for Cruise.
On Wednesday, however, Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz raised questions about the logic of Cruise's complaint against Kirstin. Included in the four-page amendment was a declaration from Slater saying he didn't know Cruise at all--supposedly meant to show that Kirstin fabricated her tale.
But Judge Munoz said the statement seemed to contradict Cruise's complaint against Slater.
"Plaintiff is blowing both hot and cold in this same proceeding," reads the ruling, obtained by L.A.'s City News Service. "This [declaration from Slater] is the only evidence to indicate [Kirstin] knew the story was false when she sold it. Plaintiff cannot have it both ways."
