Warning: Spoilers ahead so venture forth with that in mind.
Drop Dead Diva has always depended on compelling (and sometimes not so compelling) guest stars to help move the show along. This season has already seen Patty Duke, Valerie Harper, Jake T. Austin, Kim Kardashian and John Ratzenberger, as well as the return of Brandy Norwood. And the fifth episode hasn't even aired yet!
Well, the second to last episode is adding Star Jones to the already announced guest cast of Ashley Jones, Cameron Mathison and nip/tuck star Dylan Walsh (Starr Report - New York Post). Nancy Grace will be playing herself while Mathison will play a date gone horribly wrong. Poor Stacy (April Bowlby) does not have good luck with men. First she falls for Fred, a guardian angel who disappears leaving her without even a memory of her heartache, and now a no good, idea thief (Lifetime).
Oh, and Drop Dead Diva is bringing back Kim Kardashian as well. It seems a shame not to let that particular storyline die, but since some of the episode will center around Stacy and Mathison's claim on her pakery (pie/cake combo) idea, perhaps it makes sense to bring her back. Perhaps. Hopefully, it will be a "hi, Nikki, bye, Nikki" kind of a thing.
