Paul Wesley will invade the big screens next year. That’s because the “Vampire Diaries” star joins that all-star cast of Barry Battles’ Southern-fried comedy, The Baytown Outlaws.
The film was originally titled “The Baytown Disco”. However, Phase 4 Films recently announced that they have acquired all North American rights to Battles’ action comedy movie, allowing them to change its title and give it an early 2013 release. As noted by Phase 4 Films President & CEO Berry Meyerowitz in a press release: “THE BAYTOWN OUTLAWS is an absolute crowd pleaser as it combines lots of action with sharp humor led by an amazing group of actors. We are thrilled to join the team and share the film with audiences.”
The Baytown Outlaws Synopsis:
“After her ex-husband Carlos shoots Celeste three times in the gut, it's time to play dirty. In the fight for her godson, Rob, she hires three outlawed and redneck brothers to bring him back to her. But nothing can be that simple in the South. What begins as a small rescue mission rises to a southern battle royal. This odd team must shoot their way through gorgeous female assassins, Native American hunters, Federal agents, and a whole lot of metal coming after them, while protecting Celeste's innocent child.”
Aside from Paul Wesley who’ll play the character of Anthony Reese, a federal agent who comes into a small Southern town to investigate the redneck brothers, the much-anticipated comedy film also stars Daniel Cudmore, Clayne Crawford, Travis Fimmel, Eva Longoria and Zoe Bell. It’s financed and produced by William O. Perkins from and LLeju Production and State Street Pictures’ Robert Teitel.
Now since I am a really big fan of “Stefan Salvatore”, I’ll watch this rockin’ comedy film when it comes out next year…that’s for sure! How about you?
