Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are engaged, and Miley dishes on his national hotness factor. She says Australians are "way hotter. There's no competition." The singer, 19, shares all this in an interview with People magazine this week at the Australians in Film Awards. No, the pair weren't on a private jet, winging it to Sidney—the ceremonies were held right in Los Angeles, where Liam won the Breakthrough award. "I think there's a masculinity about [Australian guys] that is probably like growing up in the South, like what I did. They are a little bit more respectful." Her meaning is not too clear, but her feelings come through. Miley Cyrus is really, really in love with her guy.
She goes on gushing about masculinity and hard work and a few other things she admires in a man. Liam, obviously, has it all.
Then he does a little gushing of his own. When Liam Hemsworth, 22, is on stage accepting his award, he gives a little pro-Miley Cyrus speech. Referring back to the beginning of his American breakthrough, Liam says, "I was fortunate enough to get called back in (for The Last Song) and read with my now fiancée, and we read together and fell in love, and got married," he told the audience. Oops. Little slip there. Then he says, "Well, not married yet."
"We will be," Miley Cyrus calls out from the audience.
"We will be," he agrees. You can't get any cuter than that.
