Some renders come easily and go fast. Others not so much. The latter is the case in my fourth Render attempt from the Poser 9 upgrade. (It's the fourth including a WIP I've yet to finish working on)
It's gone through many phases since I came up with the idea sometime yesterday afternoon. A day+ later I'm still struggling to get it to render. *grumble*
So, what do I have to show for all this time? A lot of screenies, but you can get an idea of how epic the final render will be... IF it lets me render like I want it to. *cough* stopcrashingonmeposer *Cough*
First screenie... this clearly is a pirate themed render with Jack Sparrow (mmmm Johnny Depp, lol) By the way, these are just screen caps as I worked on it. The renders are much more detailed and crisp.

So, I added a background and found an Elizabeth Swann morph. I thought awesome! LOL. By the way her eyes look messed up... they aren't though. I checked close up and they were fine. Also her hair has a brown texture, but it would not show until rendered.

Well, then I added some skeletons. One lying limp against the tree on the right and one looking like it washed ashore. I thought cool! LOL. I decided to delete her as she just wasn't working for me, and I suspected I was going to get a low memory warning or it was going to crash from the hairs alone. I was right, too as sometime shortly after that I got low memory warnings... and lost all textures.
Started again thankfully I saved several editions of this render expecting to have it crash (isn't that sad? I EXPECTED that, lol) Anyway, I got another brill idea. Bring in a ship and set him on it. Yeah, this is it!

And adding him on it still in default pose since this was the version I started up today (from scratch due to it keeping on crashing on the other one)

Posed him, moved him on the stairs back there and moved his hair accordingly. These are still just screen caps. Nothing has been rendered officially.

Went to render it.... and CRASH. Changed settings, lights etc. Crashed. Dang it, lol.
So, I deleted the ship and rendered. Bam! Got him rendered. Now, about that ship that keeps crashing it. :( Not sure I'll get it or not, but we'll see. Too many hours invested in this to accept defeat just yet.
Oh, and now I'm on ShareCg looking through Hobo's backgrounds for some water to show behind him and the ship's rigging. It just never ends, does it? xD
I've been saying this for about a day, now. This BETTER be good, LOL.
How much patience do YOU have in situations such as this?
