The Pau Gasol trade rumors are heating up as a new report has the Los Angeles Lakers shopping him around the league on Wednesday afternoon (June 27). There have been plenty of rumors involving Gasol since the season came to an end, but now it seems like the Lakers have told teams exactly what they are looking for in any potential deal.
According to ESPN, the Lakers want an establish player as well as a good pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. They specifically want a pick in the top 10 though, possibly limiting the number of teams that the Lakers can make a deal with. It certainly seems like something could take place in the next 24 hours though, especially if one of those teams drafting high could really use the services of Gasol.

It's possible that the Lakers end up keeping Gasol and that the team heads into another season without finding a successful way to trade him. For a star player like Gasol, this has to be a frustrating process, especially with how long it has seemed like the Lakers don't want him to stay in Los Angeles.
Possible destinations (teams with top 10 picks) could include the New Orleans Hornets, Detroit Pistons, Cleveland Cavaliers or Toronto Raptors. Even the Golden State Warriors could pop up in rumors as that team holds the No. 7 overall selection.
Do you think that the Los Angeles Lakers will find success in trading Pau Gasol? Should any of the teams selecting in the top 10 picks of the 2012 NBA Draft even consider giving up that pick for Gasol?
