The Hunger Games' sequel Catching Fire casting for Finnick Odair has created quite a buzz with young Hollywood. Finnick will be the role of a lifetime for some lucky actor. Of course fans don't know exactly which actor it will be because Hollywood is pretty good at keeping their secrets a secret. But there are leaks and oh, how fans do love those leaks.
The latest news to come out about Catching Fire is that former child rapper extraordinaire Lil' Romeo a.k.a. Romeo Miller has met with Lionsgate about The Hunger Games sequel. He's ready to jumpstart his career and return to acting and his fans are ready to see him in action again.
Could Romeo's meeting have been over the role of Finnick? It is the most coveted male role after all. Of course, there are those who scoff because visually Romeo didn't fit Finnick's description but remember, that didn't stop studio execs from casting Jennifer Lawrence as lead Katniss Everdeen.
Speaking about the meeting, Romeo said, "I actually just met with Lionsgate... so you may be seeing me in one of the 'Hunger Games.' That's all I'm saying. Not a particular role, we just had a meeting, seeing if it was something I was interested in. I can't really talk too much, or they'll kill me. You know how 'The Hunger Games' is."
Uh huh, right... no particular role, right. There's a reason why the best actors get the best roles because they know how to promote a film without actually spilling any secrets. It would be a shock for many to see Lil' Romeo cast as Finnick Odair in Catching Fire but if the movie gods want it then so be it. Do you think he is a good addition to The Hunger Games cast?
