Everyone's talking about what's coming up when The Vampire Diaries returns for Elena and Tyler, since she's becoming a vampire and he has Klaus in his body. However, there will be two new recurring characters coming to Mystic Falls, and both are "pretty significant in the first part of the season."
Vampire Diaries Season 4 Spoilers
Zap2it has revealed that 16-year-old April will be returning to Mystic Falls. Yes, that's right, she's returning. It turns out she grew up there, "so she remembers Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Elena (Nina Dobrev), from their childhood, but she's been away at private school for the last few years." She's back because "she's grieving" after a family member dies. Something else to note about the character is "she's smarter than first impressions may convey." Will she know about vampires, werewolves, witches, and the like? Is she hiding something that involves that? Will she find out that the girl she knew from childhood is now a vampire? Even if she's not directly involved in everything, it's likely that she could get caught up in everything. After all, she's going to be living in Mystic Falls and has a connection to Jeremy and Elena.
There's another new character coming in The Vampire Diaries season 4, and this one isn't going to appear as so innocent. Connor is described as "scary hot" with an "emphasis on scary" and "imposing." That's nothing compared to the rest of the character description. He's a "highly trained killing machine." Could he be tied to the Council wanting Caroline and Tyler dead after Alaric's actions at the end of last season? Anyone who is described as a "killing machine" can only mean trouble for everyone in town. Will someone end up dead at his hand? Will he give Klaus a run for his money with murders in town?
