The Today Show saga continues with Ann Curry now reportedly haggling for an extra $10 million and Savannah Guthrie reportedly taking her place instead of Hoda Kotb. Does anyone really know what's going on in what's becoming a news show soap opera?
According to a report from TMZ, NBC wants to send Curry off with $10 million and later put her to work as a foreign correspondent. However, there were two years left on Curry's contract and she believes they owe her the entire $20 million.
Sources now say the network might pay up, but would also create a clause disallowing the Today Show co-anchor from working as a reporter or anchor anywhere for the next two years.
On Monday, sources reported that Hoda Kotb would most likely be the one in line to take Ann Curry's place. Different sources had Regis Philbin ready to move in and take Kotb's place with Kathie Lee Gifford during The Today Show's fourth hour. Now it's said Savannah Guthrie will take over for Curry instead. Do any of these sources know what they're talking about or is everything viewers have read up until now been pure speculation?
Would you prefer to see Savannah Guthrie or Hoda Kotb take over for Ann Curry? And do you think NBC owes Curry the entire $20 million as stated in her contract as a penalty for pushing her out the door?
Stay tuned tomorrow for 'As The Today Shown Turns!'

Anyway, I usually leave for work around 7:30 so I haven't watched Today in years.
