Billy Ray Cyrus of Achy Breaky Heart and Miley Cyrus fame is headed to Broadway. The country singer and former Hannah Montana star will make his Broadway debut in the hit musical Chicago.
According to a report from Access Hollywood, Cyrus will play the role of criminal lawyer Billy Flynn for a total of seven weeks starting in early November. Will his absence be a problem since daughter Miley Cyrus is planning her wedding to Liam Hemsworth? Maybe wife Tish will hold down the fort while Billy Ray is gone.
Even though Broadway will be a brand new experience for Billy Ray, he's got lots of acting experience. In addition to his role as Hannah Montana's dad in the Disney series, he's played roles in movies on both the Lifetime and Hallmark channels. He was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars and he also hosted the show Nashville Star.
