Challenge:
Write in any form you desire about your dreams.
I used to have very vivid dreams about all kinds of things; people, places I had been, programs I’ve watch, movies too. When I was 30 I started dreaming about people I knew and seeing them dying, not very often but enough so it became very disturbing to me.
The very first dream is still so clear to me that I can remember every second. I had dreamt about a college professor that I had in two classes; English and Speech. She had a bad day because she was sick and running a fever, she left before the day was over and while she was driving home had a fatal accident.
I liked this teacher very much, she was close to my age and we were friendly outside of class. I had this dream on a Saturday night and when she came into class on Monday she apologized because she had a bug and didn’t feel well. After class she and I spoke and I told her that my Speech that day was one she would like, she asked what it was about but I refused to tell her.
My speech was about Free Love, that it was out there just waiting to be grabbed. That everyone felt obligated to love their family but that they could also love their friends and classmates, their teachers and the police officer who caught them speeding, the list goes on and on. She loved my speech and said I was right, that free love was possible if you only wanted it to be. That’s when I told her I loved her as a friend and teacher, we hugged and she said she was going home and cancelling her last class for the day. She said she was too sick to concentrate and that she would be in tomorrow for her classes.
I saw a skull come over her face and hover there for a minute. I told her to have her husband come pick her up and she said she thought she could make it home. At that point I told her to drive safe and watch out for other cars. She died that afternoon in a crash with another driver crossing the center line. It was stunning to find out what happened the next day and to know that my dream had been true.
I went on to dream 4 more times and all but the last one were right on track. The last one was confusing I saw the wife die in a fall from a ladder and it turned out the husband died of that same fall. That was the last time I dreamt of other people dying.
