Jessica Alba was a vegetarian as a kid. Though she eats meat in moderation now, for about four years, the sexy Hollywood actress stuck to plant foods during her teenage years.

"I was aware at a very young about the importance of eating healthy. I became a vegetarian at 12 until the age of 16," says Alba in a recent interview. "So, I was cooking my own meals, different from the rest of the family."
Of course, having founded the food company 'The Honest Company', Jessica Alba is putting her history of good nutrition to good use. Good for her for trying to watch not only what she puts in her own body, but feeds her daughters. She really does try to stress organic foods and isn't shy about sharing vegan foods with her daughters.
The thing is, Jessica Alba isn't forcing her kids to be vegetarian like she was when she was a kid. Rather, Alba is doing her best to offer nutritious food to her own children in hopes that they develop the desire to make healthy choices as they grow older.
