Justin Bieber was worth more than $50 million before he hit the age of adulthood, but his spending habits were regulated with a strict allowance. Can you imagine having all that money in the bank after you worked your butt off and not being able to spend it unless your mom and manager said so? Well, those days are long gone.
Justin is now 18, and one of the best parts of being a big boy is unfettered access to his cash. During a recent interview, Justin revealed some of the frustrations that so many teens deal with. Obviously, his allowance was substantially more than the average teen, but he also worked a heck of a lot more than most teens do and earned his allowance.
The 18-year-old says, "I don't have an allowance any more which is good." One of the perks of being an adult is, "I have a bank account, so I can get money out." If he wants to take Selena Gomez out for an extravagant dinner, he doesn't need to ask first. He has bought himself a mansion, some artwork and a motorcycle since turning 18. He has certainly earned the right to splurge, but admits, "I don't have access to all my money."
Thankfully, somebody is still managing the bulk of his wealth. There are plenty of cases of child stars who have blown through their sizable bank accounts and their career fades, leaving them paupers in Hollywood. Hopefully, somebody is looking out for Justin Bieber's future and keeping a nice nest egg set aside.
